IFAD-Philippines Gender Network (IPGN)
A network of gender focals from IFAD-Assisted projects, cso, implementing agencies in the Philippines created mainly to provide a forum where gender focal persons (GFPs) to discuss and analyze gender issues and formulate recommendations; • create a venue for gender sharing among peers and learning from gender experts and resource persons, listen to rural voices from the field to learn from their experiences and establish a support network group on gender to help each other in mainstreaming gender equality in IFAD-assisted projects.

More than 250 delegates from IFAD, DAR, DA, AFA/PAKISAMA, AsiaDHRRA/PhilDHRRA, AgriCORD PH Synergy Group, ANGOC and their Philippine network partners composed of the national government and line agencies, local government units, international organizations and donor agencies, private/business sector, academe, media, CSO and PO delegates attended the Knowledge Learning Market-Policy Engagement Programme last November 25-26, 2015 held at the Bureau of Soil and Water Management Convention Center, Quezon City, Watch the KLM-PE 2015. Bearing the theme: “IYFF+ 1 Partnership for Food Security, Nutrition and Climate Change,” the organizers of the two-day national conference have achieved the following objectives: 2.1. Showcased Interactive Learning Exhibits and Product Demonstrations promoting knowledge products and processes related to family farming from IFAD, DA, DAR, IRRI, PAKISAMA and CSO supported programs and projects; 2.2. Discussed progress updates, reviewed current prospects and challenges on 2014 IYFF Quezon City Declaration and commitments; 2.3. Distilled lessons from the ten (10 ) innovative programs modeling best practices on climate-resilient agriculture, enlarging farmers market power through institutional food purchase, and strengthening agri-cooperatives; and 2.4. Formulated 2015 IYFF + 1 Action Agenda as follow-up recommendations to the 2014 Quezon City Declaration as well as other actions that would advance the capacity building and effective participation of
