MONITORING & EVALUATION ASSISTANT
The Rural Micro Enterprise Promotion Programme (RuMEPP) is a poverty-alleviation project of the government which is being implemented by the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI). In its closing phase during the 1st semester of 2014, a Project Completion Review (PCR) shall be conducted for the RuMEPP to assess & document over-all project implementation performance and the results achieved, for both accountability & learning purposes. The review process involves an evaluation on the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of project interventions. RuMEPP shall engage the services of a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Assistant to assist the Programme Management Unit (PMU) in the implementation of the activities related to the RuMEPP PCR.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Report to the Programme Manager of the Rural Micro Enterprise Promotion Programme (RuMEPP);
2. Assist the M&E Specialist in:
Preparation and finalization of questionnaires / other materials required for data gathering activities.
With guidance from the M&E Specialist, the M&E Assistant shall perform tasks concerning the distribution of questionnaires, data gathering at the provincial/regional levels, and consolidation of responses at the PMU level.
Consolidation of M&E databases necessary for the PCR activities.
Organizing, coordinating, and documenting the Regional Stakeholders Workshop and other PCRrelated activities
3. Perform other duties and functions that may be assigned by the Programme Manager / M&E Specialist
Academic degree in Business Administration, Economics or relevant disciplines in the Social Sciences;
With relevant experience in development work under a similar capacity (familiarity with community
development projects an advantage)
Excellent documentation, communication (technical / writing), & presentation skills; and
Proficient in computer and MS Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
DURATION OF ENGAGEMENT
Period of assignment is 90 days, subject to satisfactory completion and delivery of outputs
PLACE OF ASSIGNMENT
The successful candidate will be assigned at the RuMEPP-PMU Office, 5th Floor, Trade & Industry Bldg. (DTI Head Office), #361 Gil Puyat Ave., corner Makati Ave., Makati City
There will be occasional field work in any of the provinces covered by the Programme
REMUNERATION & MODE OF PAYMENT
The successful candidate will commence immediately following the completion of the hiring process
Monthly compensation will be PhP 20,000.00
