Trainer: Dibya Gurung, Coordinator and trainer of WOmen Organizing for Change in Agriculture & Natual Resource Management (WOCAN)

Participants:

1. Project GESI focal points

2. Project managers (those present in Kathmandu during the workshop day)

3. Project planning officers (those present in Kathmandu during the workshop day)

4. Other project staff who are present in Kathmandu and are interested to join

Objectives:

1.     To share the leanings of IFAD/WOCAN grant project "Capacity Building for Women's Leadership in Farmer Producer Organizations in the Asia and the Pacific Region" (in Lao PDR, the Maldives and Sri Lanka)

2.     Todiscuss gaps and opportunities for integrating GESI at organization and program levels.

Expected outcomes:

1.     General overview of key gaps and opportunities to integrate GESI in IFAD’s projects (organizational and program levels) identified.

2.     Action Plan (next steps) developed to address these gaps. Opportunities to share knowledge and good practices among IFAD Asia partners identified.
