Cambodia projects needs assessment for 2012

Display Date: 12/16/11

Dear Participants of IFADAsia training!

Greetings from APMAS Thailand!  Congratulations on Joining IFADAsia training!

Thank you Cleona for informing me about this training and inviting to write to participants!

If you haven't heard about APMAS project. Asian Project Management Support Programme (APMAS) is an IFAD fund for capacity development of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and India. We are situated at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. We work for developing IFAD funded project staffs capacity for these 4 countries. Our programs are mainly conducted as workshops, trainings, seminars and coachings.

Are you wondering how do we know what issues a project is facing and what training project staff needs? Well, IFAD and APMAS had conducted a need assessment workshop at AIT in August 2010, Country Officers, Project directors and senior staff had joined that workshop and discussed on the capacity their projects needs. The need assessment workshop report has been our guide to select capacity building areas for projects. We often also discuss with the country programme officers and project directors on the emerging issues the countries are facing and how APMAS can help them, and then we design programs to cater their needs.

In past 1.5 years we have conducted several workshops, trainings and coachings for these four countries. You can see our list of activities at http://www.apmasnetwork.org/activities. www.apmasnetwork.org is our old website and soon we will migrate fully to asia.ifad.org/web/apmas.

If you would like to inform me about the issues your project needs trainings/coachings, please let me know. Or you can send email later at jagriti@ait.asia.  If you like, you can also inform us your training requirements through your project director or CPO.

Please do so asap, so we can include it in the next year planning for Cambodia.

Thanks to you all and Cleona!!
I wish you happy learning with Cleona!!

Best wishes and regards,
