National Agriculture and Technology Programme- Phase-II has organized a National Orientation Workshop on 25 May at Khamarbari in Dhaka. The Agriculture Minister of Bangladesh Matia Chowdhury and the State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayon Chandra were present at the inaugural session of the workshop. Project officials from different districts attended workshop. National Agriculture and Technology Programme- Phase-II is a project co-financed by IFAD, World Bank and USAID to support smallholder farmers, agricultural research and technology transfer, and value chain development activities.
IFAD will providing US$23.86 million as a highly concessional loan to fund NATP-II while World Bank will provide US $176 million and USAID US$7.4 million to cover 57 districts and span a broad range of agro ecological zones across Bangladesh.
