CCRIP Awarded Best Performing IFAD Project in Bangladesh for 2015

The Coastal Climate Resilient Project (CCRIP) has been awarded the best performing IFAD funded project In Bangladesh for year 2015. It disbursed 41.5 percent grant and 32.6 percent IFAD loan within 28 months off its launching. Furthermore, 70% of the CCRIP financing has already been committed in the form of contracts signed and currently under implementation. 

 

This project hasbeen supported by IFAD, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and German-based Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). Out of US$ 150 Million, ADB is financing US$ 50 million, the Government of Bangladesh is contributeing US$31.2 million and  KfW is providing a grant of US$ 8.8 million. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) is implanting this project.
