Two FFSs Established in Ghoryan District of Herat Province:

To improve food security, develop capacity and improve economic status of rural people, IFAD funded Support to National Priority Program 2 of MAIL established two Farmers Field Schools (FFSs) in Ghoryan District of Herat Province.

The objective is to work on agricultural operations of okra vegetable from cultivation to harvesting and processing.

For this, 20 covered farmers have been provided with 60 Kg improved seeds of okra, 500 Kg DAP and 800 Kg urea.

Further, during project period, relevant theoretical and practical trainings in the form of field days, workshops, seminars and monitoring & evaluation will be provided to these mentioned farmers.
