100 Women Farmers trained on Value Addition:

Support to national priority Program 2 (SNaPP2) trained 100 female farmers on value addition from different villages of Nahr-Shahi and Dehdadi districts of Balkh province. The duration of this trainings was 8 days.

This training aims to raise the capacity of women in agriculture, increase the nutritional value, improve the family's nutrition and food security, process of vegetables and fruits, and to create small agricultural investments and marketing.

In addition to learning the right ways to increase their nutritional value, participants of the workshop were provided a variety of food, such as stuffing, spanner, melon jam, cherry jam, melon jam, apple jam and spanner of cucumber.

Female farmers play an important role in increasing the nutritional value and launching such training is very effective in improving the health and food safety of rural families.
