Targeting the Ultra-Poor (TUP) project was first piloted in Bamyan province supporting 400 female headed households struggling with abject poverty. the project was then replicated to Badakhshan province doubling the number of beneficiaries. Both the pilots were funded by IFAD. successful implementation of the pilot TUP projects attracted donors attention and led to scale up of the project in six other provinces covering 7500 ultra-poor households funded by World Bank and one province targeting 1725 households funded by Italians Development Cooperation Office.

PADEE is the Project for Agricultural Development and Economic Empowerement. It is one of the ongoing IFAD projects in Cambodia, started in 2012 and to be completed by 2017. It covers 5 provinces (Kampot, Kandal, Svay Rieng,Takeo, Prey Veng) and targets 90000 small and poor households. 25% of these households are headed by women.
