Monitoring & Evaluations for Learning

Bali, Indonesia
Yaseen Ariff

Strike the right balance between learning and accountability

What is this course about?
Projects and programmes rarely underperform as a direct result of external conditions. The two most common reasons for failure are poor planning or because the management does not take timely corrective action in the event of a deviance from planned events. Proper information flow is crucial for timely decision-making and that requires systematic collection and circulation of relevant, sufficient, timely and accurate information

Participants
You are a project or programme officer, an M&E officer or consultant. You are responsible for project or programme implementation and/or improving M&E practices in your organisation. Participants should already have a good understanding of the Logical Framework Approach before joining this course.

Course objectives
At the end of the course you will:

  • Share and discuss practical knowledge and skills on how to monitor and evaluate;
  • Learn how to ask and answer common M&E questions;
  • Determine what to collect, analyse and process to obtain key information;
  • Discuss how to use monitoring information for organisational learning.
