The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and IFADs Asia Pacific Region are pleased to invite you to the knowledge-sharing event titled: "Building Resilience and Improving Livelihoods in Southeast Asia through the Consortium for Unfavourable Rice Environments (CURE)" on 6 July at 10:00 in IFAD HQ. Since 2009, IFAD has been supporting the development and scaling-up of gender sensitive and climate smart rice technologies for unfavourable production environments, through the CURE and CURE2 grants in Southeast Asia. Aside from sharing lessons learned and benefits of adopting these technologies for IFAD investment projects, the event will present IRRI's strategic programme and research priorities, as well as raise awareness on approaches and options available to rice farmers in unfavourable environments, and discuss a way forward, including identifying opportunities for future collaboration with IRRI and other development partners on the transformation of rice-based systems.
